What this store collects, and why.
Analytics
We count page views and plays with Umami — cookieless, with no personal data. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel load only if you accept them in the banner; decline and nothing is sent to Google or Meta.
Order records
When you license a beat, we store what is needed to issue and check your licence: your name and email, the order number and date, the beat, the licence tier, the price, the country from your billing details, and your licence number. We also store the moment you accepted the licence terms, a copy of the payment record Stripe sends us, and whether you allowed cookies.
We use this to make your licence document, to send your files, and to answer licence checks, which only ever return a yes or no with the rest hidden. German tax and commercial law requires us to keep the records of a sale for up to ten years.
The payment itself runs through Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe directly, never reach this site, and we never see them.
Newsletter
If you sign up, we store your email address to send the newsletter. Sign-ups made on the music marketplaces where our beats are sold reach us through AWeber. Our email provider, Brevo, holds a copy and does the sending.
With every sign-up we also keep the date, the IP address your device used at that moment, and which page or marketplace you signed up on — that is our proof that you asked for the newsletter.
Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is honoured at once. You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, or to delete it, by writing to contact@schoenerbeats.com.
Spam protection
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. See Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Payments
SchoenerBeats sells to you directly. Card details are entered in fields hosted by Stripe, our payment provider, and are sent straight to Stripe — they never reach this site and we never see your card. Stripe keeps the payment record it needs for its own legal duties; we keep the order record described above. See Stripe’s privacy policy.
